Another of the new young guys (D..... I just realised that some of the new people on stage, are younger than me. And I used to think that blues was only for "old men"..... - that is, until I heard Michael Lee Rasmussen at 5-øren in the mid-80's) on the Danish blues scene, and one I'd really been looking forward to see live since getting his first CD in 1999. He shot to fame on national TV then, as the totally unknown Danish blues guitarist, who'd become a major hit on a blues radio station in Montana, USA.
He released a second album in 2001, and within seconds of opening it, I was sitting with a really happy smile on my face. It's impossible to sit still to those CD's, and the same can be said about the concert. One of the highlights, for musical and personal reasons, was the number "Cancer Blues", and the guitar-solo he played standing in the middle of the audience.
